I am thrilled to introduce you to the Office of Research, Riphah International University – Peshawar Campus. This office represents a significant milestone in our commitment to fostering groundbreaking & innovative research and translating our discoveries into real-world applications that will benefit our society.
Our institute has experienced exponential growth over the last decade, establishing various academic programs and institutions with research as its hallmark. This is because research is indispensable in the field of health sciences since the medical facilities available today are the result of research efforts spanning several decades. The diligent efforts of researchers in the field of health sciences have made it possible to reveal the real causes that underpin diseases. Additionally, research has also led to the discovery of miraculous medicines and novel approaches to treating diseases, paving the way for the effective management of emerging health problems.
The faculty plays a multifaceted role in teaching and training students while contributing to the advancement of health sciences and healthcare. This can be done through research, creative endeavors, innovations, and cultivating a depth of understanding that is needed to bring about a positive difference in themselves and their students.
The Department of Research has always played a pivotal role in encouraging and engaging faculty members, researchers, and students in accelerating research and innovation through training, development, and motivation and will continue to provide all the required support.
About ORIC
The office has been established to initiate, embed, support, and integrate the process of research, innovation, and commercialization in every department of the organization, to implement HEC's plan of developing a research culture in Pakistani universities. Besides introducing and promoting research culture, it aims to develop contacts with the corporate sector/market/industry to ensure compatibility between research and requirements in order to increase its utility to the optimum. Therefore, this office facilitates, promotes, monitors, publishes, and sells research conducted with a view to maximizing both the production and utility of research studies attempted in this regard.
